I love to work with couples to help them learn healthy communication skills and work towards productive conflict resolution. I specialize in working with couples who are struggling with infertility, couples that are transitioning to parenthood and couples who are parents working to prioritize and improve their own relationship while raising kiddos.
I am passionate about supporting women and couples through the heart-wrenching roller coaster that is infertility. I struggled with infertility for almost eight years and my own experience was the reason I became a therapist. As an infertility therapist, I hold space for my clients as they explore emotions, process feelings and make decisions on next steps. I also focus on coping skills to help manage the symptoms of anxiety and depression that often accompanies infertility.
Fertility treatments are complicated, expensive and can be very overwhelming to individuals and couples struggling with infertility. My own journey included several IUI and IVF treatments- my third round of IVF was finally successful. I have personally navigated the very complex world of fertility clinics, treatment options, medications (and side-effects) and overall emotional roller-coaster that undergoing fertility treatments can bring. I work with clients to help them explore their complicated emotions and to learn healthy coping skills to manage the overwhelming feelings that often accompany these treatments.
Postpartum Depression and/or Anxiety can be overwhelming and debilitating for new moms but it is also treatable and more common than many people realize. I work with women who are suffering from PPD/PPA to help them learn to manage the symptoms of anxiety and depression in a healthy manner as well as to offer support through the challenging emotions new motherhood can bring. If you are experiencing PPA/PPD, you are not alone!
Pregnancy brings its own set of emotions (and hormones)! I work with women to support them through their pregnancy and to help them explore their feelings, joys and fears about their upcoming childbirth experience and their little bean on the way.
Being a mom is the most rewarding thing I have ever done and also the hardest. Being a new mom or the mom of a little one comes with its own set of challenges, questions, doubts and fears. Moms are famous for feeling like they aren't doing enough or they are somehow failing when they are actually amazing at the hardest job in the world! I help support moms through the journey that is motherhood while helping them to recognize their own strengths and accomplishments in parenting.
